Bishop Events

Dear Bishopites,

By the time you read this up-date you should have received the card concerning information about our reunion.

We will be doing some of the same things as in previous reunions, for instance that Friday night we will have our social and business meeting which will have a new twist. The twist is “Open Mike Night”. This time gives you the opportunity to voice your concerns, offer advice as it pertains to the reunion, share your good fortune or whatever subject you choose as it relates to the good of the Alumni. There will be a (2) minute time limit for you to sound off. Saturday night’s theme is “Saturday Nite Live – The Ole Blue Way”. This will also be talent night so along with the dance and breakfast, you will have the opportunity to display those long hidden talents (i.e., singing, dancing, comedy, poetry, or whatever). We will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners so start practicing now for whatever you can or want to do. The musical entertainment will be provided by the Rob Holbert Band and if you are interested in finding out more about them you can access their web-site www.robholbert.com to hear some of their music. Our luncheon will again be held on the Paul Quinn Campus (The Good Old Bishop Blue). The luncheon speaker this year will be Dr. Fayrine Brown who was a 1971 graduate and presently the head of her own Christian Preparatory Academy in John Island, S.C. Be prepared to see some drastic changes on the campus. So far the list of changes that I have knowledge of are; 13 buildings will be demolished, the area in the front of the campus is where the Athletic Field will be relocated and all the dormitories will be gone.

Last but not least, I will explain our mail-out procedures at the reunion. The location of the pre-registration form is on the Events page on the right side under the Membership Application.
